Vancouver Data Center

Vancouver, Canada

Primary Data Center
Operated by: Cologix

GT.net's Vancouver Data Centre has the highest level of security, safety, redundancy, reliability, scalability, and technology.

More   [ + ]

The state-of-the-art facility is capable of handling server management applications for all of our customers worldwide. It is ideal for organizations that need to meet high security standards with 24x7 onsite security, biometric access, tailgate-proof mantrap, closed circuit CCTV and more. 95% of the power used in the center comes from renewable energies, and its multiple onsite diesel generator offers one week supply of diesel in case of a power outage.

Diverse fiber paths ensure seamless failover to an alternate path in the event of natural disaster.

Security and Access

  • CSAE3416, SSAE16, PCI/DSS certification
  • Entries secured by onsite security and biometric access
  • Closed circuit television camera system provided throughout facility
  • Interior walls utilize interstitial wire mesh for added security in common areas
European Data Center

London, UK

Secondary Data Center
Operated by: Telehouse

Our European facility features redundant cooling systems and on-site engineers (24/7) to ensure system availability. Rooftop photovoltaic cells contribute to the center’s energy supply, reducing reliance on external (and non-renewable) energy sources.

Main power and air-conditioning have built-in redundancy for continuity and reliability. Additionally, UPS and back-up generators are present at all sites.

The fire detection system monitors the room and under-floor, while smoke detection systems are installed throughout the facility and diverse fiber paths ensures seamless failover to an alternate path in the event of natural disaster.

Security and Access

  • Awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management Certification
  • Independent client card identification access system
  • Entries physically guarded 24/7 with integrated digital video camera surveillance
  • Strict security processes in place to ensure delivery and loading of goods are secure
  • CCTV coverage for the perimeter, common areas and facilities management suites
  • Protected perimeter fence, fitted with intruder sensing
Toronto Data Center

Toronto, Canada

Primary Back-up
Operated by: Peer1

Advanced Network

It's All About Connections

GT.net maintains our own Cisco-powered, multi-gigabit, highly available network, backed by a 100% Uptime guarantee. We run our own ASN with multiple BGP peers in both IPv4 and IPv6.

Our backbone is fully IPv6 capable (multiple upstream peers with native IPv6 support) and full IPv6 support in all our gear. We can also run either native or dual-stacked. A number of our production sites are using IPv6 currently (like some of our open source mirrors), and we can offer it to early adopters.

Networks

Multiple Upstream Providers

With multiple upstream providers (including Peer1, Shaw, GTT, Cogent, Vanix) our network automatically chooses the quickest path to your customers, as well as maintaining connectivity in the event of a provider failure.

Clients can rest assured that their sites use the best possible upstream link available via active 24/7 manipulation of routing tables.

DDos Mitigation

DDoS Mitigation

We maintain active agreements with our upstream providers for DDoS mitigation.

Should your site come under a distributed denial of service attack, we can help mitigate the effects and resume service quickly.

Certification and Security

Safe and Secure

If your business handles sensitive information, it's likely that your site will need to follow strict procedures and reside on a secure network.

This is where PCI/DSS compliance and SSAE16 certification come in. Both of these security-related requirements ensure that important information, such as credit card info and SSN/SIN numbers, are properly stored and transferred on a highly secure infrastructure.

PCI DSS

PCI/DSS Compliance

Achieving PCI/DSS compliance is an arduous process, especially for those who are new to it, but we're here to help. When you host with GT.net, 9 of the 12 PCI/DSS requirements are satisfied out-of-the box.

We've guided many clients through the remaining steps and helped them successfully attain and maintain PCI/DSS compliance.

SSAE16

SSAE16 Certified

If you need to manage a site that deals with sensitive information (financial, medical, software as a service), you'll likely need to host with a company that's SSAE16 certified.

We've successfully completed our SSAE16 audit and have experience with companies that only work with SSAE16 certified companies. CONTACT US if you have any questions regarding SSAE16 and how it can benefit your business.

We'd love to talk to you about your hosting needs.
